Welcome to विवाहBIO (“vivahbio.in”, “we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website and services. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1.Who we are & what we offer

विवाहBIO is a self-service platform that lets individuals and their families create, manage, and share a marriage biodata as a personal web page. We are a tool for presenting information — we are not a matchmaking, matrimonial introduction, or background-verification service, and we do not arrange or guarantee any marriage or relationship.

2.Eligibility

You may use विवाहBIO only if you:

• are at least 18 years of age and legally competent to enter into a contract;
• create a biodata for yourself, or for a person on whose behalf you are lawfully authorised to act; and
• use the service in compliance with all applicable laws.

3.Your account

You choose a unique username that forms your public link (e.g. vivahbio.in/yourname). You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login email secure. We use a one-time-password (OTP) login — please keep access to your email protected.

4.Your content & conduct

You are solely responsible for the information, text, and photos you add. You agree that you will not:

• provide false, misleading, or impersonated information;
• upload content that is unlawful, obscene, defamatory, or infringes anyone’s rights;
• upload photos of any person without their consent;
• use the service to harass, deceive, or harm others; or
• scrape, copy, or misuse data of other users.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms, but we do not pre-screen or verify user content and are not responsible for its accuracy.

5.Publishing & visibility

Your biodata is private by default. When you choose to publish, the fields you mark “public” become viewable by anyone who has your link. You can unpublish at any time to take it offline. You control, per field, what is public and what stays private.

6.Plans, payments & refunds

Publishing requires an active paid plan. Prices are shown in Indian Rupees (₹) on the Plan & Billing page and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Plans are time-bound and do not auto-renew unless stated. Promotional vouchers, where issued, may reduce or waive the price for eligible users.

Because access is granted immediately on activation, payments are generally non-refundable, except where required by law or at our sole discretion. For any billing question, contact support@vivahbio.in.

7.Privacy

Your privacy matters to us. Our Privacy Policy (see the Privacy tab above) explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). By using the service you also agree to that policy.

8.Intellectual property

The विवाहBIO name, logo, design, and software are our property. You keep ownership of the content and photos you upload, and you grant us a limited licence to host, display, and process them solely to provide the service to you.

9.Deactivation & termination

You may deactivate your account at any time from the Account settings, which takes your biodata offline and releases your link. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms or applicable law.

10.Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we do not verify the identity, intentions, or claims of any user. Any interaction or decision you make based on a biodata is at your own risk, and you should independently verify all information before acting on it.

11.Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, विवाहBIO and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from interactions between users. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

12.Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra.

13.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above, and continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

This Privacy Policy explains how विवाहBIO collects, uses, and protects your personal data, and your rights under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”). By using our service, you consent to the practices described here.

1.Information we collect

• Account data: your email address and chosen username.
• Biodata content: the personal, family, education, lifestyle, preference, and contact details you enter, in English and any secondary language you choose.
• Photos: the profile and gallery images you upload.
• Contact enquiries: details submitted to you by visitors through the “Express Interest” form on your public page.
• Usage & technical data: basic analytics and device/browser information to keep the service working and secure.

2.How we use your information

• to create, host, and display your biodata;
• to provide translation, photo, and publishing features;
• to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the service;
• to communicate with you about your account, updates, and support;
• occasionally, to tell you about features or offers (you can opt out); and
• to comply with legal obligations.

3.Consent & legal basis

We process your personal data based on the consent you give when you sign up and add information, as required by the DPDP Act. You may withdraw consent at any time (see “Your rights”); withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide parts of the service.

4.What is public

Your biodata is private by default. Only when you publish it do the fields you mark “public” become visible to anyone with your link. Fields you keep private — such as phone number, email, or address — are not shown publicly. You can unpublish at any time.

5.Sharing & disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal data or photos. We share data only:

• with service providers who host and run the platform on our behalf — for example Supabase (database, authentication, photo storage) and our website host — under appropriate safeguards;
• when you choose to publish your biodata (the public fields then become visible to viewers); and
• where required by law or to protect rights and safety.

6.Data storage & security

Your data is stored with reputable cloud providers and protected by access controls and row-level security so that only you (and people you publish to) can see your information. No online service can be 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to safeguard your data.

7.Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you deactivate, your biodata is taken offline and your link released; residual data may be retained for a limited period for legal, security, and backup purposes, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

8.Your rights

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• correct or update your information (you can edit most of it in your dashboard);
• withdraw consent and request deletion by deactivating your account or emailing us;
• nominate another individual to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity; and
• grievance redressal — to raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer.

9.Cookies & analytics

We use essential cookies/local browser storage to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences, and we collect minimal, privacy-respecting analytics to improve the service. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.

10.Children

The service is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

11.Grievance Officer

In accordance with the DPDP Act and applicable IT rules, you may contact our Grievance Officer for any data-protection concern at support@vivahbio.in. We aim to acknowledge and address grievances within the timelines prescribed by law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above. Please review it periodically.

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how payments, cancellations, and refunds work for paid plans on विवाहBIO. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.

1.What you are paying for

A paid plan lets you publish your biodata as a public page for a fixed period (for example 3, 6, or 12 months). This is a digital service that is delivered and accessible immediately upon successful payment / activation.

2.Plan validity

Plans are time-bound and are calculated as 1 month = 30 days from the date of activation (e.g. a 6-month plan = 180 days). Plans do not auto-renew — your biodata simply becomes private again when the plan ends, unless you renew.

3.Cancellation

You can cancel at any time by unpublishing your biodata or deactivating your account from your dashboard. Because access was made available immediately, cancelling does not create a pro-rata or partial refund for the unused period — your plan simply remains available to you until it expires.

4.Refunds — general rule

As the service is digital and access is granted instantly, all payments are generally non-refundable once a plan is activated.

5.When we DO refund

We will refund you in these cases:

• a duplicate charge for the same plan;
• you were charged but the plan was not activated due to a technical fault on our side and we are unable to activate it; or
• a charge you can show was clearly erroneous or unauthorised.

Approved refunds are made to the original payment method.

6.How to request a refund

Email support@vivahbio.in within 7 days of the charge, from your registered email, with your payment reference / Razorpay payment ID and a short description. We aim to review within 3 business days and, where approved, process the refund within 5–7 business days (your bank may take additional time to reflect it).

7.Vouchers & promotional activations

Plans activated using a voucher or promotional code involve no payment and have no cash value — they are not refundable or exchangeable.

8.Payment processing

Payments are processed securely by our payment partner (Razorpay). We do not store your full card or bank details. Any chargeback or dispute should first be raised with us at support@vivahbio.in so we can help resolve it quickly.
